Category 1: General

Q: What is Eko?
Eko is an AI-powered page monitoring tool that tracks webpages you care about and delivers intelligent change summaries. Instead of just telling you "something changed," Eko explains what changed, why it matters, and what to do next — with confidence scores so you know when to trust the analysis.
Q: How does Eko work?
Add any public webpage by pasting its address. Eko checks every page 3x per day, automatically. When a meaningful change is detected, you receive an email alert with an AI-generated summary explaining the change in plain English — including before/after values, a confidence score, and (if you've added a tracking note) an explanation tailored to why you're monitoring that page.
Q: What kinds of pages can I track?
Any publicly accessible webpage — pricing pages, status pages, job postings, product listings, documentation, terms of service, news articles, and more. If it has a URL and you can view it without logging in, you can track it. Eko does not monitor pages behind authentication or pages containing personal information.
Q: How often does Eko check my pages?
Every page is monitored 3x per day on all plans — there's nothing to configure. This consistent frequency means you'll know about changes within hours, not days. For time-sensitive pages, mark them as Urgent to receive instant SMS and email the moment a meaningful change is detected.
Category 2: Pricing & Plans
Component:

Q: Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan lets you track up to 10 pages, monitored 3x per day, with full AI summaries, inline diffs, and email alerts on every change. No credit card required. It's a fully functional plan, not a limited trial.
Q: Can I try Eko before committing to a paid plan?
Absolutely. Start with the Free plan — it includes the same AI intelligence, noise filtering, and monitoring frequency as paid plans. The main differences are page limits and access to features like Urgent SMS alerts, lifetime history, and trends analysis. Upgrade whenever you're ready.
Q: What happens if I exceed my page limit?
You won't be able to add new pages until you remove existing ones or upgrade your plan. Your existing pages continue to be monitored normally — we never stop tracking pages you've already added.
Q: Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately — you get access to additional pages and features right away. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle, so you keep your current features until the period you've paid for ends.
Category 3: Technical
Component:

Q: What are tracking notes?
Tracking notes let you tell Eko why you're monitoring a page. This context personalizes your change summaries. For example, without a note you might see: "Pricing section was updated." With a note like "Alert me when this drops below $800," you'd see: "The laptop you're watching dropped from $999 to $749 — below your $800 target." Tracking notes are optional but recommended.
Q: What are confidence scores?
Every AI-generated summary includes a confidence score from 0–100% that reflects how clearly Eko could identify and describe the change. High confidence (80%+) means the change is unambiguous and you can trust the summary. Medium (50–79%) means the analysis is likely accurate but has some ambiguity — review if it's critical. Low (below 50%) means the change was complex or uncertain — check the source page directly.
Q: How does Eko handle JavaScript-heavy pages?
Most pages are monitored using standard text fetching, which is fast and efficient. When Eko detects that a page relies heavily on JavaScript to render its content (like single-page applications), it automatically escalates to browser-based rendering using Playwright to capture the fully rendered page. This happens transparently — you don't need to configure anything.
Q: Can I export my data?
Yes. You can export your tracked pages, change history, and AI summaries from your account settings. Your data is yours.
Category 4: Notifications
Component:
FaqAccordionwith category label "Notifications"
Q: What notification options are available?
Every tracked page sends you an email alert when a meaningful change is detected — this is on by default. You can also enable a daily digest that rolls up all changes into a single summary email. For time-sensitive pages, mark them as Urgent to receive instant SMS and email the moment a change is detected. Manage all notification preferences in your account settings.
Q: How does Eko reduce notification noise?
Eko automatically filters out changes that don't affect actual content — timestamp updates, ad rotations, session-specific elements, and minor formatting shifts. Only meaningful content changes trigger alerts. This is built into the monitoring engine, so you don't need to configure filters or rules. The result: fewer alerts, higher signal.
Q: Why am I not receiving notifications?
Check these common causes:
- Email filters — Eko emails may be landing in your spam or promotions folder. Add our sending address to your contacts.
- No meaningful changes — Eko only alerts you when it detects a meaningful change. If a page updates timestamps or rotates ads but the actual content hasn't changed, no alert is sent.
- Notification settings — Confirm your email and notification preferences are configured correctly in your account settings.
- Urgent SMS — If you're expecting SMS alerts, make sure you've marked the page as Urgent and entered your phone number in settings. Also check that quiet hours aren't active.
If you've checked all of the above and still aren't receiving notifications, contact us at support@eko.app.
